Horwood takes Ledgeview Amateur crown

Golf tournament raised over $1k for Holmberg House in Abbotsford.

The Ledgeview Ladies’ Amateur, July 25-26, was won by Holly Horwood from Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club with a two-day score of 151. Horwood also won last year’s tournament and was the 2012 PNGA Senior Women's Champion and is a two-time B.C. Senior Women’s champion.

The low net champion was Debra Marshall from Belmont Golf Course.

A sum of $1,135 was generated from the event and will go to this year’s charity of choice, Holmberg House (Abbotsford Hospice Society).

The tournament had a field of 80 golfers competing from around the province.

First low gross was Korianne Tylor from Marine Drive, who finished just two strokes behind Horwood, while the first low net winner was Anita Morse from Fraserview.
