LETTER: Admitting refugees creates issues

Rather than open the flood gates, every individual must be checked

With all the turmoil in the world today, we find threats to our country and way of life.

Rather than open the flood gates, every individual must be checked in all aspects.

Do we want to admit people with serious medical issues to further overload an already inadequate medical system? Students, due to language differences, add stress to the education system that is already under-funded.

A major concern is admitting those whose beliefs conflict with our heritage and lifestyle.

We already have an unacceptable unemployment rate.

Rather than thinking with our emotions ,I think we must admit those that will improve our country, not those who would be a burden and have a negative affect on the country as a whole. We certainly have enough problems to deal with.
