I couldn’t agree more with the editorial in the Feb. 28 issue, “It’s not about the kids.”
Having worked in and out of unions, I’ve always considered them a necessary evil. However, the BCTF’s ridiculous posturing, demands and claiming “it’s about the kids,” is eroding my statement above. This is nothing more than greed.
Teachers are a privileged group, with benefits most of us could only dream of. Any teachers who find this job too onerous should find other employment, as there is a long line of unemployed teachers waiting for an opportunity.
