Noel (Hope) passed away on July 18, 2005 in his 90th year. He will be lovingly missed by his wife after 52 years of marriage.
His three children, Jennifer, with husband Ken; Geoff with his wife Shirley and Chris with his wife Imelda will always remember him as a loving father. His two granddaughters and six grandsons will miss their happy loving visits with Grandpa.
Noel was born in England in 1916. After working in Lancashire for many years he then worked in Jedda, Saudi Arabia for seven years. He came to Canada and after working in Toronto and Vancouver he settled in Abbotsford as accountant at Gosling's where he saw many changes in the landmark store and the village. He worked faithfully as alderman in Abbotsford for 12 years. Kiwanis, Lodge, Genealogy, Civil Air, Search and Rescue, Probus and Hole in the Wall were his main interests along with his keen passion for golf.
A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew's Church on Guildford Dr. on July 21 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society.
