Marta (Friesen)
1912 - 2005
The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of their loving mother and beloved wife of Menno Hooge on July 24, 2005. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 67 years and her children, Dale (Elmira), Gay (Russ), Gary (Marguerite); and her grandchildren, Tristan, Kirstan, Jordan, Badi, Curtis (Monica) and Laura (Dan). She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Erna, Elsa, Esther and Eva. Marta was predeceased by her sister, Helene; and two brothers, Walter and Arnold. While our mother endured dialysis treatments for the past five years, she remained as always in good spirits.
She was known by many as the friendly lady with the ready smile. A private family Memorial Tribute will be held at their home in Abbotsford, BC.
