Our beloved Mum, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother gently left this life on a Tuesday afternoon surrounded by family.
Born and raised with her Mom and Aunties in Northwood, UK she continued to live at home caring for her mother while attending Watford Training School for Nurses. She graduated in 1948 and launched a 43 year career.
By the time she and our Dad (Alan) were ready to emigrate to Canada in 1954 she had earned her position as a head surgical nurse.
Her 93 year life was humbly devoted with the loving care of others through family, work and enormous dedication as a lifetime volunteer. Since 1977 she volunteered with Kiwanis, Kiwaniannes and her church where she also served as Elder for 26 years.
Her achievements were honoured with multiple awards and acknowledgements over the years.
Margaret will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched especially by her sons Michael (Cindy), Paul (Moe), daughters Heather and Beverley, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and in England 2 cousins, 3 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law and their respective families.
A service will be held 13 January 2018 at Calvin Presbyterian Church 33911 Hazelwood Avenue in Abbotsford at noon.
