Leo JANZ

June 12, 2006

Leo Janz, born June 12, 1919, in Saskatchewan, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2006. From his homestead beginnings in Western Canada, Leo went on to become founder of the Janz Team in 1954, offering the message of God's love and hope to a war-torn Germany. As evangelist and member of the Janz Team Quartet Leo worked with his brothers and others gathered around him. The Janz Team continues to serve and minister in Europe and North and South America. Leo Janz was a dedicated and gifted minister of the Gospel, and a loving husband and father. Leo was married for over 60 years to his beloved and devoted wife Lydia. They resided in Abbotsford, BC in their retirement years and finally at Menno Home. The family would like to thank the staff at Menno Home and Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.

Leo leaves behind a loving and adoring family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who treasure his memory. We invite friends to join in a celebration of Leo's life and God's faithfulness at a memorial service at 3:00 pm, Tuesday June 20 at Sevenoaks Alliance Church in Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Leo Janz Memorial Fund for continuance of his lifelong vision in Christian ministry at Janz Team Ministries, 2121 Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R2G 1P8.
