Laura Alvina (nee Goyne) passed away December 10, 2002 in Vernon, B.C. where she had lived for the past four years. Long time resident of Abbotsford.


Born September 25, 1915 in Ardley, Alberta. Wife of the late Harry Raymond (Ray) Howse. She was the youngest child of the predeceased Fred and Annie Goyne of Tynhead, B.C.


Loving mother, grandmother and Nana, survived by 2 daughters; Catherine Elizabeth Betty (Ken) Frost of Campbell River, B.C. and Elva May(Bud) Ritchey of Nakusp, B.C., 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


While in Abbotsford she was a member of W.H.O. Club, M.S.A. Hospital Auxiliary and Anglican Church Women's group. An avid gardner, she went from 1 acre of gardening to balcony gardening.


A celebration of Life was held in Vernon at All Saints Anglican Church on Dec. 13, 2002 followed by cremation.
