Passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord, October 1, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Katie is survived by her loving family, her husband of 59 years, John; children John (Rita), Katie Jones and Henry (Grace); 6 grandchildren: Brian, Paul, Steven (Monica), Christine, Daniel and Mark; 2 sisters Agnes Pauls and Helen Sawatzky and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Walter in 1994. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford. Interment will follow at Maclure Road Cemetery. If friends wish, donations in lieu of flowers, to MCC c/o Ukrainian Orphanage Fund would be appreciated.
