DeJONG, John
February 22, 1921 - September 2, 2008
John DeJong passed quietly into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at the age of 87 years. John will be remembered with love and greatly missed by his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife Tina. Their 65 years of marriage was commemorated on September 1st. John's six children, Arnold (JoAnne), Hilda Flokstra, Conrad (Devey) DeJong, Wyn (Dan) Vanderhorst, Betty Anne Glazema (Jack) and Sid DeJong, his thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also survived by his one sibling, Betty Baker of Neerlandia, Alberta.
The family is comforted by the scripture which says:
What is your only comfort in life and death? That I am not my own, but belong with body and soul, both in life and in death to my faithful saviour, Jesus Christ.
Funeral Service arrangements by Personal Alternative Funeral Services. Viewing will be held at the funeral home 3070 275A St. Aldergrove, B.C. from 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday September 7, 2008. A celebration of John's life to be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Abbotsford, B.C. at 1 p.m. September 9, 2008.
