In loving memory ~

Helge, a much-loved local fixture of Surrey, White Rock, and recently Abbotsford, passed away in Chilliwack on March 4th, 2024. Born in Sola, Norway, he came to Canada with his family as a young child in 1952. Helge led an interesting life, usually working as a tradesman in construction, though he most fondly remembered his years working on boats up along the BC coast, which he loved and knew well. A regular at various local pubs over many years, he made countless friends who enjoyed his acerbic wit and unpretentious attitude.

Helge is survived by his son Kelly, sister Wenke, brothers Kore (Norma) and Bjorn (Linda), and many nieces and nephews. He is also fondly remembered by the Timmermans family of Abbotsford, who cared for him as one of their own in his elder years.

All those who knew and loved Helge are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sat. April 6 at 2 PM, in the activity centre at Breakaway Bays Manufactured Home Park at 1840 160th St, Surrey.
