August 12, 1940 - September 6, 2023
Greta Tena Dyck (Neetz) Cardiff, 83 years old, died peacefully on September 6, 2023. Mom was taken home to be with her Savior and Lord.
Mom was the last of eight children born to John and Lena Dyck, the only one of her family to be born in a hospital.
Mom was born August 12, 1940 in Gull Lake Saskatchewan.
The family moved to Chilliwack in 1947 just before the 1948 flood. Her family members are numerous, all of whom are deceased - Mom and Dad, (John and Lena Dyck), sisters (Lena Unger, Elizabeth Olsen, Marie Delesky) and brothers (John, Jacob, Jake, and Phillip), and stepson Stephen Cardiff.
Mom received Jesus as her Savior at the age of 11 and was baptized at 17.
Mom married Ron Neetz August 15, 1958 and together they had 6 children - Wes, Rob (Debra) Dianne (Doug) Dennis (Evelyn), Marianne (Guy) and Susanne (Gene). She has 19 grandchildren & 23 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 3 infant great grandchildren.
In 1992 Greta married Norm Cardiff. Survived by stepdaughter, Julie Cardiff, 2 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They spent many years together traveling, mission trips to Haiti, and working at Camp Qwanoes for over 25 years.
Family was most important to our mom with many family dinners.
