November 24, 1923 – October 20, 2018
With great sadness and regret we announce the passing of Fern Isobel (Arnott) Plomp on October 20, 2018 at the age of 94.
Fern was predeceased by her son Wayne Henry in 2003 and her loving husband of 65 years in 2011. She is survived by her daughters Dianne Duperon of Abbotsford, BC, Jo-Anne Morton with husband Rick of Las Vegas, Nevada, son Lawrence with wife Diane of Vernon, BC and daughter-in-law Mary-Ellen of Edmonton, AB. She also has 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a 3rd on the way.
Fern served her country proudly in the Canadian Woman’s Army Corp during WWII. At the end of the war she met and married Fred. They made their way to BC where they lived a long and productive life. Fern was always involved in her community and was a staunch supporter and campaign worker during the birth of the Reform Party. Fern also worked ceaselessly to create memories with her family and friends and she will be forever remembered.
There will be a Celebration of Life on May 19, 2019 at the Village Queen Hotel, 4801 27th St., Vernon, BC between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
She will be forever remembered.
