Elwood passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 89 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean, his son Clifford (Sherry), daughter Denise, granddaughter Aislin, and by his youngest sister Elaine (Bob).
Elwood was born in Eden, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where he met and married Jean and started his family. He then moved the family to North Delta, BC and finally settled in Abbotsford, BC.
He was a long-time employee of Winnipeg Hydro and BC Hydro.
A viewing opportunity will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 10:00 am in Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road Abbotsford, BC followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Hazelwood Cemetery, 34070 Hazelwood Avenue, Abbotsford.
Following the graveside service will be a memorial gathering at 12:00 pm at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in his memory, to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
