Erika passed away peacefully on Sunday at 11:00 in the evening. She is survived by her loving husband Hans, son Robert, daughter-in-law Jacqueline, two grandchildren Anya and Mathew as well as her three sisters. Erika enjoyed life to the fullest and left lasting memories imprinted on the hearts of all those who knew and spent time with her. Erika passed in peace and comfort with her loving husband beside her.Throughout her life she had an undying passion for both traveling and quilting. She crafted numerous quilts over the years and this activity brought her great peace and joy. Her quilts are loved and cherished by all who have seen and possessed them. The family has chosen, as per Erika's wishes, not to have a service and they are spending time with each other; remembering the love and happiness that she spread. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.
