Bruce James Desrosiers passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76 years, on Friday, November 11, 2005 in Abbotsford, BC. Bruce was predeceased by his wife Helen and his brothers David and Donald. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Denise (Jim), Darlene, Bruce (Allison) and Terese; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bruce was a Tugboat Master, finishing his career as a Captain on the Evco Buccaneer. He then volunteered with the SS Master Historical Society where he skippered the SS Master — the last operational steam tug in North America.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 11:00 am in the chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555 — 31ST Ave, Aldergrove, BC. If desired, donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to the SS Master Society, 1905 Ogden Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6J 1A3.
