Almar Oliver Granum passed away November 3, 2004, with his family by his side, at the age of 87. He is predeceased by his father Ole, mother Nicolena, seven brothers and sisters and his son-in-law David. Almar is survived by his loving family: wife Thelma; children Doris (John) Good, Bob (Jane) Christianson, Dawn (Rod) Kidder, Fay (Glen) Stewart and Joanne Toews.
Almar was a member of the Fraser Valley Fiddlers, Old Time Farm Machinery and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 11:00 am at Matsqui Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5781 Riverside Rd., Matsqui, BC with Pastor Pam Pederson officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. Refreshments will be served, following the service, at the Matsqui Evangelical Lutheran Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matsqui Evangelical Church or to the charity of your choice. Special thanks goes out to Dr. Cochlin, nurse Linda Stewart, and all the homemakers. Also Gwen and Brett Bedford and good friends Jack and Vi Bates.
