Alan Douglas passed away peacefully in Mission, BC on June 2, 2007 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his loving wife Violet; children Joanne (Curtis), Brian (Debby), Wayne (Betty), Neil (Darlene); 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brothers Harry, Bill and Jack. Alan will be best remembered by his family and friends for his love of gardening, especially the roses he grew. He was always ready and willing to help everyone who asked and to talk to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Many thanks to the nurses and staff at the MSA Hospital, 3rd floor and the Christine Morrison Hospice. Their care was of great personal comfort.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave., Surrey with interment to follow at 11:30 am. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2950 Bluejay St., Abbotsford, BC. Donations in Al's memory can be made to Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, BC.
