Abe (Pop) passed into the presence of his Lord on Monday, March 26, 2007 at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his parents; 4 brothers: Alfred, Walter, Peter and Henry; 1 sister Elsie Friesen and by one infant granddaughter. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise; his daughter Janet and husband Henry Hildebrandt; grandchildren Brian (Chris), Shelly Hildebrandt (Dave McQuaid) and Kevin (Samantha); 5 great grandchildren, Brittany, Alexa, Aaron, Aidan and Owen Hildebrandt. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Agatha Epp, sisters Linda Klippenstein and Clara Klassen, and many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Abe's life will be held on Monday, April 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Menno Hospital, on the Âsecond floor, 32945 Marshall Road, Abbotsford.
The family would like to thank Drs. Maung and Danescu for their care, the nursing staff on 2 West at MSA Hospital, and all of the loving staff at Menno Pavilion and Menno Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to the Gideons would be appreciated.
