The rain held off as thousands of people gathered in Abbotsford on Saturday to pay respect to those who fought and died for Canada.
From veterans and legion members, to dignitaries and members of the public, approximately 2,000 showed up for the Remembrance Day ceremony at Thunderbird Memorial Square on Veterans Way.
Rain was falling lightly moments before the ceremony, but the skies opened up just as the Nov. 11 event began and the sun even shone down that morning.
The ceremony included a fly-past.
