Abbotsford’s RAD Torque Systems wins bronze at 2024 Edison Awards

RAD Torque Systems recently won the Bronze Award at the 2024 Edison Awards for the B-RAD Xtreme wrench.

Abbotsford’s RAD Torque Systems took home a special honour at the 2024 Edison Awards, which ran from April 17 to 19 in Florida.

The company earned the Bronze Award in the Commercial Technology: Engineering & Manufacturing Tools category for the new industrial torque wrench, the B-RAD Xtreme (B-RAD X).

According to a press release from the company, the B-RAD X Series is the world’s most powerful cordless torque wrench. It has a capacity to torque up to an unprecedented 11,000 pounds-feet or 15,000 Newton metres. The wrench is available in three different sizes.

RAD Torque beat out over thousands of application and more than 500 nominations to win the award.

The Edison Awards are named after the legendary American inventor Thomas Edison, and celebrate groundbreaking products and visionary business leaders shaping the future. Past recipients include luminaries such as Steve Jobs, Gwynne Shotwell, and companies like Apple and Lockheed Martin.
