Abbotsford Youth Commission hosts free spring break activities

The Abbotsford Youth Commission is hosting free activities over spring break from March 18 to 22.

Youth ages 12 to 18 can attend events from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre (2499 McMillan Rd.) and the Matsqui Recreation Centre (3106 Clearbrook Rd.).

The theme of the week is food frenzy, with Monday being a pop taste test challenge; Tuesday is building marshmallow towers; Wednesday is a baby food taste test; Thursday is dropping eggs; and Friday is an Oreo cookie face challenge.

The Abbotsford Youth Commission offers free programs and services to youth in Abbotsford. The centres have gaming consoles, ping pong, concessions, craft supplies, board games and prizes.
