Homelessness event at UFV on April 16

This is a free and open event to raise awareness about a local mobile homelessness initiative

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) geography department, in partnership with Abbotsford Community Services, presents an event on homelessness on Thursday, April 16.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with food trucks on campus to sell refreshments.

This is followed by a welcome from UFV president Mark Evered and screening of the student film Crossing the Bridge at 7 p.m. in room B101. The screening concludes with an expert panel discussion led by UFV geography professors Cherie Enns, Jonathan Hughes and Mike Smith.

This is a free and open event to raise awareness about a local mobile homelessness initiative, as well as to learn more about homelessness in Abbotsford and beyond.
