Bradner Presbyterian Church has welcomed Rev. Michelle Yoon as its new minister.

The induction service took place Dec. 3 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Mission with members of the Bradner church in attendance. Yoon assumes her ministerial responsibilities at both Bradner and St. Paul’s.

Yoon has a diverse background in children’s ministry and multicultural ministry. She grew up in Seoul, Korea, and began her church work at age 14. She was involved in mission trips to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In Canada, Yoon obtained a bachelor of education from Tyndale University and a master of divinity from Knox College, University of Toronto.

Currently, Yoon is a candidate for the master of pastoral studies (spiritual care and psychotherapy) program at Knox College.

Yoon previously served as a minister at Knox Presbyterian Church in Crieff, Ont., for more than five years.

She is also registered as a psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

“With her wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to ministry, Rev. Yoon is dedicated to fostering a supportive community through her work within the church,” states a press release.

“Her passion for pastoral care and psychotherapy will be integral to her approach in providing compassionate leadership to the congregations of Bradner and St. Paul’s Churches.”
