After a crushing loss to the Walnut Grove Gators in Friday’s AAA provincial semi-final, the Abbotsford Panthers senior girls team bounced back on Saturday with an 82-74 win over Semiahmoo in the third place game.
The Panthers were led by player of the game Sienna Lenz, who scored a game-high 33 points. Her younger sister Marin Lenz added 31.
The Kelowna Owls knocked off Walnut Grove in the senior girls AAA provincial final.
Also in the senior tournament, Abbotsford’s Yale Lions finished 11th overall.
The Yale Lions junior girls basketball team dropped the third place game to Mount Baker 52-41 to finish fourth in the province.

Abbotsford’s St. John Brebeuf Bears placed 11th overall in the junior tournament.
Walnut Grove took home top honours for the junior girls.
