VIDEO: Injured black bear filmed limping in Mission backyard

Video owner said hurt bear was not afraid of people

An injured bear was filmed in a Mission backyard yesterday morning (June 9).

The person who submitted the video said it was filmed around 9:30 a.m. on Melburn Drive, and the bear was not afraid of people.

“When I opened the door he didn’t even budge,” he said.

The video owner said he sent the video the Critter Care Wildlife Society, an organization which rescues and rehabilitates injured or orphaned wild mammals, but was told the bear is too old for them to help.
