In a follow-up to a story posted earlier this week, it appears that two Chicko Chicken locations are coming to Abbotsford this spring.

The News originally posted a story earlier this week on the new establishment coming to downtown Abbotsford, but there are plans for another location for Ventura Avenue. It appears that both restaurants are set to open in the spring.

The second Chicko Chicken will be located at 101-32868 Ventura Avenue.

There are existing locations in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley, Surrey and Vancouver.

According to their website, Chicko Chicken makes every order fresh and they import ingredients directly from Korea.

The menu features original, yangyeom, cheese snow, soy garlic, buldak and padak padak styled chicken. Patrons can choose a boneless or bone-in options and all orders come with pickled radish.

Other locations also offer side dishes such as french fries, sauces and drinks.

The exact opening date for the Ventura Avenue location has not yet been confirmed.

Chicko Chicken joins a relatively crowded chicken restaurant market in Abbotsford, with Fritou, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen and Mary Browns all opening up in recent years. Other popular establishments specializing in serving the bird include: KFC, Wings, Famous Chicken, Nando’s and Barcelos.
