Q: When did you get your pet?
A: We got him in July 2019.
Q: Why did you decide to start the Instagram account?
A: We started the Instagram account because we’ve always wanted a hedgehog and we were told that they do better when being handled frequently so we started taking him with us places and photographing his adventures.
Q: What do you think makes the account so popular?
A: I think because he’s cute and we try to take him to some interesting places so that he appeals to lots of people.
Q: What do you want to achieve with the account?
A: Basically just making people smile. We get several messages from people about how they’ve come across one of his posts and it made them happy and really that’s the ultimate goal.
Q: What is your favourite part of running the account?
A: My favourite part is really introducing him to people when we are out and about. We recently did a takeover for Tourism Mission and did their Instagram live feed from the Fall Festival and despite the fact that it was a very rainy day people were drawn to Wybie and wanted to see him and pet him and ask questions, which is really fun.
