Abbotsford’s IHOP is now officially no more.

The demolition of the former breakfast hot spot has been occurring over the past few weeks, and its last remnants have been removed.

The restaurant officially closed on March 20, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Plans were made to close in April of last year, but the pandemic sped up that process.

The Abbotsford location stood on South Fraser Way for close to 33 years and served over four million guests.

The family that ran the Abbotsford location currently owns the Chilliwack location, which is now the closest IHOP for Abbotsford diners. That location opened in 2013. There are also locations in Langley, Surrey and Burnaby.
