The Yale Lions junior boys rugby team gained a measure of revenge against the Robert Bateman Timberwolves in the Upper Fraser Valley final on Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, the T-Wolves knocked off the Lions 20-14 to clinch first place during regular season play. But in the playoff final this week, Yale bounced back with a 22-3 win over their East Abby rivals.

"We only lost by six points the first game, but we felt we left a lot on the field," Lions coach Clayton Radons said. "We came back a lot hungrier."

Spencer Miller, Ayden Kirkpatrick and Ryan Barclay each notched a try for Yale, while Miller added a pair of converts.
