Yale Secondary's recently launched U16 hockey team has been accepted into the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL).

Yale Secondary's recently launched U16 hockey team has been accepted into the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL) for the 2013-14 season.

The Yale squad will join the CSSHL's new Elite 15's division, which features seven teams in B.C. and Alberta. Teams will play between 30 and 36 games, with a league championship and location to be announced.

“It’s an exciting time for the sports school model," said CSSHL chair Bill Doherty. "The addition of the new programs and the new Elite 15’s division give evidence to the belief that academics and athletics go hand in hand in a young student athlete’s development."
