The Canadian National Wakeboard Championships will be coming to Abbotsford’s Walmsley Lake Aug. 20 to 23.
“We are looking forward to seeing all the pro athletes from across Canada make their way back to Abbotsford” says Canadian Wake Committee director and long-time wakeboarder Sean Fleming in a release on Wake Canada’s website.
“Abbotsford was one of the original locations of the pro wakeboard tour in the late ‘90s. The glass conditions from [Walmsley] lake and access to B.C.’s only straight-line wake park will make for an exciting event.”
More than 150 athletes from across Canada are expected to attend, including several international pro riders.
