Abbotsford’s Chase Claypool made it official on Wednesday.
“I’m just excited to be a part of everything at Notre Dame,” he said. “I want to make my coaches, teachers and counsellors at Abby Senior proud.”
Claypool said it felt right the moment he visited the South Bend, Indiana campus.
“As soon as I was there I knew I wanted to be there,” he said. “Just walking through the halls and feeling the tradition was amazing. The coaches and players made me feel like family.”
The 6’5” wide receiver was named the AA football player of the year, and led the Panthers to a deep playoff run in December. He was also recently named a finalist by SportBC for the male high school athlete of the year.
He is set to head to training camp with Notre Dame this June.
