The Venom Hockey Club U18 AAA has announced they will play out of the Premier Hockey League for the 2025-26 season.

A new option for young hockey players in Abbotsford has been formed with the arrival of the Venom Hockey Club.

The U18 AAA team created a social media presence in November and announced that they will be playing out of the Summit Centre in west Abbotsford.

The club also announced they will compete in the Premier Hockey League for the 2025-26 season.

According to the team's website, they offer professional and skilled coaches dedicated to player development, have plenty of ice time opportunities and they stated it offers players a pathway to get scouted into junior hockey.

The website states that players will receive 100 hours or more of on-ice training, three to four on-ice sessions per week, 35 or more regular season games, two to three travel tournaments, two local tournaments, off-ice training, gear, clothing and more. The cost to enrol is $13,000.

Venom HC announced that an ID Camp open to players born from 2008 to 2011 at Summit Centre on Jan. 18 and 19. There is a $100 fee to register for the camp.

A coaching staff has not yet been named for the team.

The PHL is an independent league operating outside of Hockey Canada and launched in 2019 with four teams. They now have 29 teams in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Nearby programs include the Chilliwack-based Fraser Valley Aces, the Langley-based Sharpshooter Academy and the Surrey-based Pacific Coast Predators.

All PHL league games take place on what they refer to as "Showcase Weekends". Each team plays four games over a two to three days once per month culminating in a championship showcase weekend in March.
