The Vancouver Island girls soccer team is up 1-0 over their Thompson Okanagan opponents after the first half of play.

Island player Rawdi Bartrim scored late in the half to put her team on top, in a match mostly dominated by Thompson-Okanagan, so far.

The match is being played on the first day of the BC Summer Games in Abbotsford.
