UFV golfers victorious in Kamloops

The UFV Cascades men’s golf team won the first tournament of the 2012 PACWEST golf season on Sunday.

The UFV Cascades men’s golf team won the first tournament of the 2012 PacWest golf season on Sunday in Kamloops.

The Cascades captured the team title with a total of 576 strokes. Camosun College Chargers were second at 581. The Cascades participate in four PacWest regular season golf tournaments to determine the provincial champion.

Darren Whitehouse (Langley) finished second overall, shooting a  66 on Sunday and 140 for the two-day tournament. Aaron Pauls (Chilliwack) and Mitch Lock (Mission) tied for third with a score of 143.
