A pair of Abbotsford rugby players are set to don the maple leaf.
Abbotsford Rugby Football Club products Jared Douglas and Jake Thiel have been added to the Canada Selects team at the Langford Sevens tournament, which occurs on Vancouver Island on Sunday.
The tournament features nine men's and three women's teams batting it out for bragging rights. Thiel, Douglas and the Canada Selects kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Thiel was a key part of the ARFC men's division one team's undefeated season and provincial championship victory on April 30. Douglas, a Robert Bateman grad, has also suited up for Canada as a part of the U-20 team back in 2012.
