Abbotsford golfer Nick Taylor turned in a terrific performance on the Canadian Tour, finishing tied for third at the ATB Financial Classic on the weekend.
At Windermere Golf and Country Club in Edmonton, Taylor carded rounds of 69, 65, 71 and 67 to end up at 12 under par. That left him two strokes back of Michael Gligic and Matt Marshall, and Gligic claimed the victory in a sudden death playoff.
Taylor earned $8,050, putting him atop the race for the CanTour's Canadian rookie of the year award and fifth on the circuit's order of merit standings.
Taylor is back in action this week at the Syncrude Boreal Open in Fort McMurray, Alta.
