A tremendous goaltending performance from Nicholas Taylor drew the Port Moody Black Panthers even with the Abbotsford Pilots in their second-round playoff series. The Pilots out-shot the Panthers 40-22 at MSA Arena on Tuesday evening, but Taylor –  who began the season with Abbotsford – was up to the task. Riley Lamb, at 3:26 of the second period, was the lone Abby shooter to solve the Port Moody goalie, while Maximillian Fiedler, Ryan Panichelli and Julian Klaric supplied all the offensive support Taylor required in a 3-1 victory.”He’s in a zone right now,” Pilots coach Jim Cowden said of Taylor. “We had lots of chances, but we’ve got to bear down and bury them.”The Panthers’ win knotted the best-of-seven series at one game apiece. Game 3 goes Wednesday at Port Moody Arena, and Game 4 is back at MSA Arena on Friday. Both games begin at 7:30 p.m.Cowden said his team needs to be a little more defensively responsible against the opportunistic Panthers, who have had four breakaways over the first two games of the series.
