The juggernaut Shawnigan Lake won their fourth straight B.C. high school rugby championship on Saturday at Rotary Stadium.

The Stags beat the Carson Graham Eagles 22-5 in the final game of the tournament, to take the triple A title.

In the double A final, Brentwood College of Mill Bay beat the Collingwood Cavaliers of West Vancouver 14-7.

Both the host teams, the Yale Lions and Robert Bateman Timberwolves, lost their critical first games. That meant neither team could finish higher than ninth in the 16-team tournament.

Bateman won the rest of their games, finishing 3-1 and in ninth place.

Yale finished 2-2, and in 13th place.

Yale standoff Akash Deo and Bateman eighth man Jeremy Alvarado were both named to the President’s 15 all-star team.
