The peewee C1 team from the Abbotsford Female Hockey Association went undefeated en route to the title at a recent tournament in Kelowna.
The Abby squad won five games while allowing just three goals along the way, capped by a 5-1 win in the final over Penticton. Game MVP awards went to Amanda Jansen (2), Carli Howe, Hailey Maurice and Delainey Schubert.
HAWKS WIN PRESIDENTS CUP
The Abbotsford Hawks midget A2 boys rep hockey team went undefeated to win their Presidents Cup round-robin playoff series.
The Hawks went 4-0-1 against the Vancouver Thunderbirds, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Cloverdale and Port Moody, finishing their run to the title with a 5-3 win over Port Moody behind goals from Braden Laverty (2), Jayden Schubert, Haydn Downing and Jayden Hazenberg.
