Roy sparkles in net as Heat top Admirals

An outstanding outing from goalie Olivier Roy powered the Abbotsford Heat to a 4-2 road win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday evening.

Roy stopped 34 shots en route to first star honours, and Ben Street and Brett Olson notched a goal and an assist apiece as the Heat (33-15-5) maintained their grip on first place in the AHL's Western Conference.

Sven Baertschi and Max Reinhart also scored for Abbotsford, while Vinny Saponari and Taylor Beck replied for the Admirals (23-17-11).

The Heat wrap up their five-game road trip with a Saturday-Sunday set at the Chicago Wolves. They subsequently return home for a pair of games vs. the Grand Rapids Griffins next Friday and Saturday.
