Bronze medals by Ceilidh Ross and Anika Phinney highlighted a series of strong performances by Abbotsford Skating Club athletes at the B.C./Yukon Section Summerskate event in Burnaby last week.
Ross finished third in the gold ladies division, while Phinney picked up her podium finish in the star 2 girls group 3 category.
Tyler Miller (fifth place, junior dance) and Alexandra Latreille (fifth place, star 3B girls group 4) also notched top-five results, while Sarah Steberl (eighth, juvenile U14 group 1), Taralyn Geddes (10th, senior bronze), Megan Geddes (11th, pre-novice ladies U16) and Natsumi Blattler (14th, senior bronze) rounded out the local contingent.
The Abbotsford Skating Club is hosting a registration session on Sept. 12 at the Matsqui Recreation Centre from 3 to 5 p.m.
