Hat tricks from Sean Kelly and Geordie Wells paced the Valley Rebels past the North Shore Indians in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series on Wednesday.

Kelly also notched three assists for a six-point night, while Shaun McRae (one goal, three assists), Kevin Lemond (two goals, one assist) and Jordan Hernandez (one goal, two assists) also chipped in offensively in the Rebels' 13-7 victory.

Keenan Lambright picked up the win between the pipes, posting 36 saves.

The Rebels will look to sweep the best-of-three series on Saturday night, as Game 2 goes at 8 p.m. at the Indians' home rink, Kensington Arena.

Game 3, if necessary, would be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Abbotsford Recreation Centre.
