The Abbotsford Pilots suffered a minor early-season stumble, picking up just one of a possible four points last week.

The local junior B hockey club had to rally to salvage that point, coming back from a two-goal deficit in the third period to tie the Mission City Outlaws on the road last Thursday. Colton Cowden scored twice for the Pilots, while Braeden Monk and Kolten Grieve added singles.

On Friday at MSA Arena, the Pilots dropped a 6-2 decision to the Richmond Sockeyes, the defending league and Western Canadian champs. Brad Parker and Eric Wieking accounted for the Abby goals.

• The Pilots are back in action on Friday, hosting the Delta Ice Hawks (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
