Abbotsford PGA Tour pros Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin have thrown their support behind a pair of local charities of their choosing.

Taylor and Hadwin each raised $5,000 each to provide to the Starfish Pack Program and C.H.I.L.D foundation, respectively, through an RBC fundraiser.

The Starfish Pack Program provides food assistance and additional support programs for families in Abbotsford.

The C.H.I.L.D Foundation, founded in 1995, funds research for children stricken with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and liver disorders.

By using the hashtag #RBCGolf4Kids on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram until July 20, individuals help support the charities associated with each golfer.

Taylor and Hadwin both teed off at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. on Thursday. First-round scores were not available at press time.
