The Abbotsford Panthers senior girls rugby team earned silver at the BC High School Girls 7s Championships on Saturday.
The Panthers defeated GP Vanier 14-10 in the quarterfinals to set up a showdown with Brentwood for the title.
Brentwood, who had defeated Yale 19-5 in its quarterfinal game, defeated Abby 15-7 in the hard-fought championship game.
The game was played in front of 3,000 rugby fans at the Canada Sevens in Langford.
