The Abbotsford Olympians swim club illustrated the great strides they’ve made since last season, sending five swimmers to the SwimBC AAA championships.
In 2013, the Olympians had just one swimmer qualify for the AAA B.C.’s, with no medals or finals appearances. This season, the crew of Tobyn Smith, Tavleen Grewal, Hannah Weinkauf, Ryan Han and James Lee combined for three medals and 10 finals.
Han collected a pair of silver medals as part of 4x200m freestyle and 4x50m medley relay teams. Grewal notched a bronze in the 4x200m free relay.
