Olischefski ranked 151st on final NHL draft list

Abbotsford's Kohen Olischefski is on the list.

The former Yale Lion has been ranked as the 151st North American skater for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, according to NHL Central Scouting's final list, which was released on Tuesday.

Olischefski dropped 20 spots from the mid-term ranking, which was released in January. The ranking projects him to be selected in the fifth round or later.

The forward scored 48 points in 57 games with the Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League this season. He has committed to the University of Denver starting for the 2017-18 season.

In the meantime, Olischefski and the Chiefs have advanced to the BCHL finals. The team, which also features Abbotsford product Jordan Kawaguchi, open the finals on home ice against the West Kelowna Warriors starting tonight (Friday).

Kawaguchi is second in the BCHL in playoff scoring, with 20 points in 14 games, while Olischefski has added five points in 14 games.
