North Van's Harman soars to gold in wakeboarding

Zakk Harman of North Vancouver soared to a gold medal Friday morning in the under-14 boys wakeboarding competition. Harman completed several tricks, including a backlfip, to top the field with a score of 70.5.

Kory McCann of Chilliwack claimed silver, with a score of 55.

Noah Woollends of Quesnel was closely behind, notching a score of 52.

Girls U-14

The U-14 girls wakeboarding event had two competitors.

Hailey Gainey topped the standings, with a score of 30. Grace McNaul followed with a score of 16.67.

 

Boys U-18

The U-18 boys wakeboard event was won by Tyler Lindsay of Shawnigan Lake, whose score of 81.50 was the class of the field.

Silver went to Reece Hawthorne of Vernon, whose score of 56 narrowly beat out Mill Bay's Deklon Shadlock, who recorded a score of 52.

 

Girls U-18

The U-18 girls competition was tightly contested, but Hannah Doucette of Quesnel came out on top with a score of 66.

Alisa Clydesdale of Port Alberni finished second, posting a mark of 56, while Syvanna McNichol of Parksville finished close behind with a score of 52.
